The owner's needs when acquiring an existing panel wall constructed 2 bedroom bungalow were for the addition of a master suite and a home office. My solution was to push the garage forward and add a home office in the space vacated. A craftsman front porch and roofing in the newly elongated street front elevation with a new separate front entrance to the office completely transformed the appearance of the home. A two-floor portion with an upstairs master bedroom was added in the rear of the home, so the family's two children could occupy the existing 2 bedrooms in a more efficient layout.

The owner's hillside lot with ocean view in the distance was concept designed to accentuate the hillside with stepped building , pool and terraces in a classical style allowing the enjoyment of inside-outside spaces. A below-ground garage for a custom car collection and gentlemen's gaming room opens out to a colonnade exercise plaza underneath the pool. The expansive first level including custom kitchen, ladies powder room and front office opens out to the main plaza, cabana bar and pool. Upstairs features two master bedrooms, high sloped ceilings, two additional bedrooms and a central lounge space with view to entry atrium below. The front features a classical entry plaza and fountain.

The open stairway is backed by a 20 foot high specially design glass block wall provides substantial natural illumination to the center of the house while maintaining visual
